 Single Color Stipple
YOUGHIOGHENY GLASS (pronounce YOK-a-GAY-NEE) is the product of John Triggs' glass experience. Unlike traditional opalescent glass, Stipple Glass has an icy or waxy translucence. Stipple Glass does not require the heaviness of traditional opalescent glass to bring opacity to colors. The translucent colors hold up to bright light sources, evenly diffusing the light giving a three dimensional effect to the colors that are streaked through the sheet. As in the original Tiffany glass, Stipple Glass has some light mottling and surface haze. The overall effect of Stipple Glass is unlike any other glass on the market today.
