CBS BALLOONS 3 PATTERN DICHROIC ON BLACK
Pattern Dichroic is made by "tooling"
the rare earth metals as they are deposited on the glass surface.
This tooling consists of a perforated stencil that causes coatings
to be overlapped and shaded as they are deposited. The effects are
dramatic and can vary from highly organized geometric shapes to
completely amorphous "blobs" of color and intensity.

HOW DICHROIC IS SOLD |

Dichroic Glass, as it
comes from the factory, is a circular sheet of glass 19" in
diameter, with an inch or so cut off the top and bottom of the
circle.
We cut each factory
sheet into quarters. The sheets are shaped like a 1/4
circle, roughly 9½" wide x 8½" tall as shown at left.
The prices shown are for 1/4 sheets.

When CBS coats this pattern on the glass, the colors tend to
shade across the sheet. The photos below depict samples taken from
various portions of a sheet and show the variations possible. If you
have a certain coloration that you would like to see in the sheets
