Loading Feature Makes Working Inside the Kiln Much Easier
The GTS 22 Series kilns
will take a 20x20" kiln shelf. Gives you plenty to work with, The
firing chamber is 22 wide, 22" deep and 13" tall. This is the kiln
we have in our workshop! If you have taken a warm glass workshop at
Sunshine, you've seen and used our front loader. We have done pate
de verre, lost wax casting, fusing, slumping, raking at 1750°F,
painting and lusters - basically everything - in this kiln with
great results.. Requires a 240 volt, 50 amp electrical circuit.
The RampMaster
II Controller gives you ultimate control.
The digital key pad speeds
entry of your firing schedule. You easily enter the ramp (rate of
temperature change) set point (the target temperature) and any
soak (time spent at target temperature). Up to eight
different segments (ramp, target temperature and soak = 1 segment)
may be programmed in. And the unit will store six programs (sets
of segments that make up your firing schedule).
While the kiln fires,
the controller display shows the current kiln temperature and
which segment is being processed. While your program is running,
you have the flexibility to change settings on the fly. Note that
the photo above shows a GTS 22 without the RampMaster II
controller installed.
