Glastar heads use the PBS® System which eliminates "peeling" of the diamonds from the brass spindle. The high quality of the Glastar heads allow them to outlast the competition by 3 to 1. If you are going to replace your Glastar or Inland grinder's grinding head go with one that outperforms and outlasts all the others. All the Glastar grinding heads feature a full 5/8" band of diamonds which give you five working surfaces. Glastar bits are available in standard grit, fine grit and coarse grit. Standard Grinding Bits:
For grinding tighter inside curves and occasionally drilling holes in glass use the Glastar 1/4" and 1/8" grinding heads. Don't forget to get the Bit Adaptor (#0152) for all Inland Grinders and for Glastar Grinders that do NOT have a grinder shaft with internal threads (newer versions of all Glastar Grinders plus all All Star or Starlet Grinders have the threaded shaft).

| The
PBS®
System
The PBS® System used by Glastar is a far superior method of bonding the diamonds to the grinding heads. This unique system literally fuses the diamond particles to the head rather than merely encapsulating the diamonds in an inferior electroplating process. The result is the elimination of diamond "peel" from the head. And since the diamonds are permanently bonded to the head with controlled spacing of the particles they are easier to cool and they have more exposed cutting edges on each particle. Innovations like these have allowed Glastar heads to outperform and outlast the best from the competition. |
