GOLDEN
FILIGREE |
|
Tiffany studios made very few metal Filigree lampshades.
The Golden
Filigree Lamp, the inspiration for Mika's new Filigree Lamp Shade, is featured on page 57
(Plate 75) of Egon Neustadt's "The Lamps of Tiffany". The Mika version matches
the dimensions almost exactly. Tiffany used an opalescent glass that ranged from light
yellow to dark gold although any glass should be attractive.
The original
tiffany design used beading between panels. Use our Ball Chain to achieve the same
effect.

BRASS FILIGREE LAMP
This design uses the
Golden Filigree (see below) lampshade filigree as featured in Egon Neustadt's book on the Tiffany Studios.
Mika used this as their model for this striking
shade. The filigree kit makes a six sided lamp that is approximately 16" in diameter.
Simply select the glass you wish to use, cut to size using the filigree as a template,
foil and assemble. Complete instructions are provided. Base is not
included.
