MOSAICS UNLIMITED (#12153) by Christine Stewart takes mosaics to
the next level. In addition to some fairly traditional mosaic
methods, Chris introduces us to HOT Mosaics - a combination of kiln
worked glass and regular mosaics. Hot Mosaics add dimension and
color to your finished piece. Plus there is a section on making
mosaics from your photographs - very handy.

PRAIRIE STYLE PANELS
(#14791) by Scott Haebich. This is a great pattern book as it gives you 11
different prairie themes. Then for each theme, you get four variations to
make a well coordinated set of panels for different sized openings.
You get a tall and narrow (12x24"), long and narrow (30x8"), short
rectangle (7x9") and square (12x12") scaled patterns that allow you to
pick the best pattern for your application. And like all books that Scott
has published, the patterns are neat, clean and very professionally
presented.

ENGLISH LEAD LIGHTS I (#14090)
by Vincent Dimas is filled with patterns of traditional English "lead
lights" or what the Brits would call a stained glass window. I've
always been partial to this style of design. Looks like something you'd
find in a quaint little cottage. These make wonderful windows for
either side of your fireplace or they are easily adapted to cabinet doors.
Elegant and tasteful. Over two dozen patterns here.

and, most imaginatively, antique plates and jewels. Patterns are full size

Mari used circles cut from the bottoms of
old antique glass plates that you could find at a flea market. The blue
and purple piece in the upper right corner of the book cover used just
that! .
