METAL LEAF AND FOIL |
Gold and silver leaf and
foil can be used to add impressive color and flash to your fused
glass pieces.
"Leaf" is many times thinner than "foil".
Because it is so thin, for most fusing applications you will
generally use three layers of leaf in your piece. Fewer layers may
produce a "translucent" effect and you won't see the full metallic
effect.
Foil can be used in a single layer due to the added thickness.
All foil and leaf products are sold in "books" of 25 sheets of
material. Each leaf or foil is separated by thin paper to make
application easier. |

NOTE: This is "double thick" leaf.
While not precisely double the thickness of "standard" leaf, it is
heavier and as a result, is easier to work with than other gold leaf

Glassworks is either German or Italian in origin. The finest leaf
and foil is produced by skilled craftsmen following the same
techniques used for centuries. We have not been impressed by the
Chinese product that is currently being promoted from other
