CASCADE starts with 100% pure lead to
which they add exacting quantities of Tin, Antimony, Copper and
Bismuth to create a lead that is stretchable to the breaking point
yet maintains a fine grain strength and also prevents oxidation
making it easier to solder, allows for a longer shelf life and
gives you a brighter finish
We stock Cascade's #2 Alloy which is
made to add a bit more strength and stiffness as opposed to pure lead.

SPECIAL ORDERING
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LEAD CAME |
All styles are sold in six foot lengths.
Smaller cross section cames, such as 3/16" Round H or 1/8"
U channels are neatly coiled for shipment at no additional charge.
These styles are noted as "shipped coiled".
Larger cross section cames and all Flat H and Flat U cames
are shipped straight in six foot boxes OR we can cut or fold the
cames to fit a three foot box.
All orders will be cut (or folded) to 3 foot sections and boxed in a 3 foot
box UNLESS you specify that you wish to have your came shipped in
a 6 foot box by clicking on "add to cart" below:

The 6 foot box fee is $17.99 to cover the additional costs of shipping
oversized boxes.
If you omit the six foot box fee, we will ship your order in 3 foot pieces.
There is no added fee for shipping in 3 foot lengths.
Cames shipped in six foot boxes are neatly packed and boxes are strapped to heavy duty
reinforcement to prevent bending in transit.
Cames shipped in three foot boxes are cut or folded to 36" and are packaged for safe delivery.
Lighter cross section cames will be folded, Wider or heavier cames
will be cut.
Cames noted as "shipped coiled" have no packing fees. Came is neatly rolled into a neat coil and will unroll without
kinks or twists, ready to be straightened in your lead vise. |

The
dimensions in the description of the came (ie 1/4" Flat H)
refers to the FACE WIDTH
of the came. The Face Width
is the dimension that will appear as the dark line when
the panel is finished and held to the light. The
Channel Width is the
dimension that will accommodate the thickness of your glass.
Most glass is roughly 0.125" thick, so 0.156" Channel Width will fit
nicely. For thicker glasses, please keep a close watch on the
Channel Width. Channel Depth
refers to the amount of glass that will be hidden by the face
of the came.

Re-Strip is a 5/32” wide, 10 mil thick
strip of copper which is easily concealed in your windows. Run this
stripping this reinforcement inside

FOR WORKING WITH ALL TYPES OF CAME
Our Glassworks Flux is different from other
paste fluxes as it is in a lighter weight base and is not thick or waxy.
Easy to apply, easy to clean up.
Especially useful when working with came.
Use sparingly! A small dab at the joint is all you need. Since it isn't
runny like liquid fluxes, it stays where you put it making clean up
easier.
Works with lead, zinc, brass and copper cames and does a great job with
rebar.
