THREE SIZES AVAILABLE
- 1/2 PINT, ABOUT 1 lb - sufficient to do about
2-4 sq ft of leaded glass
- 1 QUART, ABOUT 4 lb - for heavy duty users.
Will do about 10-15 sq ft
- 1 GALLON, ABOUT 16 lb This is
the "studio size" and should do about 40-50 square feet of leaded
window.
- Your coverage will vary
depending on lead to glass ratio and width/height of your came.

GLASS PRO STAINED GLASS PUTTY
was developed as the best combination of ease of use and suitability
to purpose. Sold in plastic tubs, this product has the consistency
similar to glazing putty. Black color.
- REMOVE A HANDFUL FROM THE TUB
and roll it around in your hands to warm it up and make it pliable.
- USING YOUR THUMB force
the putty between the glass and the came.
- TRIM EXCESS with a
pointed dowel or fid. Wad up the extra stained glass putty and return
to container.
- SPRINKLE PANEL WITH
WHITING or sawdust
- SCRUB WITH NATURAL
BRISTLE BRUSH to complete cleaning the excess putty and
to burnish came to a smooth, darkened finish
- LET SET OVERNIGHT then
flip and do the other side.
- SEAL CONTAINER a piece of
plastic wrap pressed over the top surface of the putty will keep it
soft for the next time.

MIRACLE MUDD CEMENT

|
Miracle Mudd is the creation of Alice Zimmerman
as a result of her desire to create a user-friendly solution to
cementing lead came windows.
Back in the day, you had to scrounge
around to find the separate ingredients. Depending on whose
formula you were using, you may have even been setting yourself up
for disaster. Then there was the premixed cement in a can.
Miserable to mix, smelled badly and had a shelf life only
slightly longer than cottage cheese..
Alice's formula comes
packaged as a plastic bag of dry powder and a bottle of liquid.
Mix the two according to directions and to the thickness and
consistency that you prefer. Mix as much as you need. Doing a
quick repair? Just mix a few tablespoonfuls. Doing a small panel?
Mix a cup or so. Once mixed, you have plenty of time to work the
cement before it sets. Unmixed Mudd has an indefinite shelf life.

- BLACK Use this one if you are
working in lead came. The Black Mudd will give your came a softly
darkened
burnished finish when you are done
- NATURAL Use this version
when working with Zinc, Brass or Copper cames. Also known as "Gray"

SEPARATELY
Some people like their Mudd thick and stiff,
others thin and runny. Alice packs enough ingredients for most people's
tastes, but if you run out of either the dry or the wet ingredients, we
have them available separately.

CEMENT BRUSHES
Our cement brushes are made with natural
tampico fiber bristles. They are used to push cement under the leaf of the came.
Available in two sizes:

NOTE: Don't get stuck buying a brush with plastic bristles
from the dollar store. Non-natural bristles may react with the solvents in your glazing
compound causing the bristles to soften, fall out or even melt. |

WHITING
cleans flux and cement residue from came
work. Sprinkle this white powder on your panel after picking off excess
cement. Swirl around with a scrub brush, and sweep up the excess. Two
sizes are available:
